Zillow Quarterly Housing Report
Zillow has released an Excel spreadsheet with housing data for the Chicagoland area. Lots of fun data on this, and you can make graphs to show whatever you like. Play around with it some, see how we compare to other cities. LINK
Very interesting - I have a former boss who recently sold his house for a HUGE profit down here in Tampa and immediately turned around and bought a new house in Chicago this past summer. It looks like he got in at the top.
Good luck with the website - I've been doing mine for 6 months now, and it's been fun.
The real interesting part of the graph is the amount that median prices have increased here. I'm not sure many people realize that we are up over 100% since '99. Most people are saying if prices drop, it will be mild, like 10%. Looks like it may be quite a bit more.
